St. Louis, MO — Chuck Summers, a 30-year union plumber and lifelong advocate for working families, has officially launched his campaign as the presumptive Democratic candidate challenging career politician Ann Wagner in Missouri’s 2nd Congressional District. He along with 1,400 people showed up to the People’s Town Hall ready for change and to unseat Ann Wagner.
Summers, a proud son of Missouri’s middle class, is bringing a blue-collar, people-first agenda to a district that has been ignored by out-of-touch politicians for far too long. His campaign will focus on fighting for union rights, lowering healthcare costs, investing in public education, and ensuring that working families — not billionaires — have a voice in Washington.
“Ann Wagner hid for 12 years. 1,400 people showed up ready for change. I’m running because it’s time we had a Congressman who works as hard as the people who elected him — someone who knows what it’s like to punch a clock, pay a mortgage, and live a life grounded in reality, not cocktail parties.” said Summers.
